Knowledge Organisers
A knowledge organiser is a concise, visual tool that outlines the key information and concepts students need to know for a particular subject or topic. It typically includes important vocabulary, essential facts, dates, and diagrams, helping students to focus on the most critical elements of their learning. Knowledge organisers are designed to support both teaching and revision, making it easier for students to retain and recall information effectively.
At the beginning of each new history, geography, or RE unit, the children will bring home a Knowledge Organiser. It is a useful tool for parents and carers to understand what is being taught in these subjects.

Spring Knowledge Organisers (Great Fire of London, Viking and the Ancient Greeks)
Geography

How can you support your child at home?
We would like our children to complete the following tasks each week:
- Read independently or with a parent/carer at least 3 times a week
- Weekly mental arithmetic practise whilst using Times Tables Rock Stars (KS2) or Numbots (KS1)
- KS1 children will receive spellings linked to their phonics learning to practise at home
KS2 children to practise their weekly spellings. These words will then be used in their writing the following week.
On Thursday 21st November 2024, Mr Fry hosted a parent session to talk about home learning including the use of Knowledge Organisers. To view the video, please click on the link below:
